Removal and installation of wheel cylinders

In case of leaks wheel cylinders are subject to replacement without fail. Manufacturers do not recommend to undertake attempt of carrying out regenerative repair of these knots of brake mechanisms.

REMOVAL

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. To Poddomkratta a car back also establish it on props. Prop up forward wheels protivootkatny boots.
2. Remove a brake drum and boots (see. Section Replacement of boots of drum-type brake mechanisms of back wheels).
3. Clear the wheel cylinder and surfaces surrounding it of dirt.

4. Disconnect the hydraulic line from a back part of the wheel cylinder. In order to avoid a rounding off шлицов the union use a special cap natural a cutting head. At a detachment do not pull for a metal tube of the brake line in order to avoid its deformation, capable it is essential to complicate connection procedure. At once закупорьте the open end of the brake line for the purpose of minimization of losses of liquid and in order to avoid hit in hydraulic system of dirt.

INSTALLATION

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Grease interfaced surfaces of the wheel cylinder and a brake board with RTV hermetic. Establish the cylinder on the regular place and connect to it the hydraulic line. Do not tighten while a shtutserny nut.
2. Screw fixing bolts and strongly them tighten. Now it is possible to tighten a shtutserny nut finally. Establish into place bashmachny assembly.
3. Pump over brake system (see. Section Pumping of brake system).
4. Before starting car operation, make sure of serviceability of functioning of brakes.
