Installation of a back epiploon of a cranked shaft


1. Before приболчивать to the engine the holder with the new epiploon established in it, establish into place a cranked shaft and covers of radical bearings / their connecting bridge.
2. Carefully check a surface of a pin of a shaft contacting to an epiploon on existence of scratches, задиров and the other defects, capable to bring to failure of a new epiploon. The damaged shaft replace.

3. Measure regular depth of landing of an old epiploon in a nest of the holder, then lay a plate of the holder edges on pair of wooden blocks of equal height and by means of a suitable drift and a hammer beat out an old epiploon from the nest. Try not to damage nest walls.

4. Carefully wipe the holder, then grease external edge of a new epiploon with pure impellent oil. The epiploon should be planted in a nest strictly perpendicularly therefore it is not recommended застукивать it in the holder by a hammer.

5. In the absence of access to a press it is possible to fill an epiploon in a nest by means of a big vice with soft sponges. The holder with an epiploon should be clamped between two flat wooden whetstones providing uniform distribution of loading on all area of a face surface of an epiploon. As a last resort, hammer use, however a zastukivaniye is allowed should be made through flat wooden whetstone. Act slowly, watch, that there was no distortion.

6. Before putting on assembly of the holder with an epiploon a pin of a cranked shaft, grease epiploon sponges with universal greasing. The holder is put on the engine without laying, - instead it is necessary to impose a uniform pillow of anaerobny hermetic in width of 2 mm on its interfaced surface.
7. Having pressed the holder closely to the block, by hand acquire bolts of its fastening, make sure of correctness of installation of the holder, then tighten bolts with demanded effort.
